The Human Route

The Human Route

Coming empty handed, going empty handed, that is human
When you are born, where do you come from?
When you die, Where do you go?
Life is like a floating cloud, which appears.
Death is like a floating cloud, which disappears.
The floating cloud itself originally does not exist.
Life and death, coming and going, are also like that.
But there is one thing that always remains clear.
It is pure and clear,
Not depending on life and death.

Then what is the one and clear thing?

---- Traditional Chinese Poem

Some one once told me. All faiths are like a spoke in a wheel . In the outer rim all are apart. When you get closer they join into one.

The one clear thing
Not depending on life and death
Like the blue sky that does not depend on the clouds that come and go
Atma - Consciousness
That exists Alone.

Dear Aatma,
That's a wonderful poem. Really apt for me now. I am sitting at the bedside of one who is drifting betwen life and death and yes to describe life and death as clouds is really really apt.
